Leo Gentile

Leo Gentile is an expert pianist performing from a mixed repertoire including classic jazz, Latin, blues and arrangements of the most famous pop songs and movie soundtracks around.

Able to vary his playing to suit every occasion, Leo creates a relaxing and comfortable environment for all guests he performs for.

Unique in his style, his musical character draws on the influences of his classical studies and the sounds of jazz music.

Born in Alghero, in northern Sardinia (Italy) in 1985, Leo began studying classical piano at the age of 7 in the city's musical academy. At this young age, Leo discovered the great composers of the past such as Chopin, Mozart and Debussy. Leo’s love for jazz and improvisation was born later, during adolescence, when his dad gave him records by Keith Jarrett and Michael Petrucciani.

Whilst studying at university in Cagliari, Leo became resident pianist in the prestigious T Hotel, the largest and most famous hotel in the city. Leo also spent the summers performing in various restaurants and clubs around the resorts of Villasimius.

In 2013, Leo moved to the UK where he now performs regularly at weddings, private parties, hotels, bars, restaurants and more.
