Drums and Pipes is a Scottish Bagpiping duo that performs live music for events across Scotland.

Unique and passionate about performing traditional Scottish bagpipe music in a modern and upbeat way, the duo are the perfect choice to elevate your special celebration. Whether piping you down the aisle, entertaining guests during wedding photos, or introducing you to your guests as you enter your wedding breakfast, Drums and Pipes will provide the perfect Scottish soundtrack any part of your day.

As siblings, the duo recognises the focus on making special family moments and will work hard to create an unforgettable and personalised performance for you to share with your loved ones.

Available for a range of events throughout Scotland, Drums and Pipes are ideal for both indoor and outdoor events.

Meet The Duo
Ross of Drums and Pipes first picked up a pair of sticks aged 8. Undergoing weekly lessons with Gordon Brown (winner of many World Drum Corps Championships), Ross soon progressed and went on to join the Comrie Pipe Band.

Ailise started bagpiping shortly after. Starting lessons with teacher Scott Murray, Ailise developed her talent and went on to join the Morrison’s Academy Pipe Band, where Ross later joined her.

During their time with the Morrison’s Academy Pipe Band, Ross and Ailise performed at many local events such as Remembrance Day, Christmas Fayres and Crieff Highland Gatherings. Soon, their engagements became international. The siblings travelled over to the Republic of Ireland with the Academy Pipe Band in 2022 to perform in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Dublin. Playing to over 500,000 people on international television, they marched down the streets of Dublin as part of one of the largest parades in the world.

Another career highlight so far, has been performing at the Women’s Solheim Cup Golf Tournament in Gleneagles. Ross and Ailise performed at the Opening Ceremony to thousands of fans at the event. Ailise also had the opportunity to bagpipe the players off the stage during the tournament.

Most recently, Ross and Ailise played at the Chief Buchanan’s Inauguration at the Cambusmore Estate. The duo have also performed for the British Embassy in Dublin.
