* Provide sophisticated background music on piano and double bass as a musical backdrop to your event at a volume you can easily talk over, but can tune into if there is a lull in conversation
* Play tunes from the American songbook – swing, bossa nova, ballads- made famous by the Rat Pack and more recently artists such as Nora Jones, Rod Stewart, Jamie Cullum, and Robbie Williams as well as gentle pop classics. You will recognize and tap your foot to every tune!
* Dress immaculately (in full dinner suits if your event is black tie)
* Can quickly and easily move from room to room or outside if necessary
* Provide appropriate background music whilst taking a break
* Play requests suitable for piano/bass instrumentation
An accomplished pianist ‘tinkling the ivories’ in the corner adds the perfect touch of class to any event where you wish to chat with unobtrusive sophisticated background music. Add the visually stylish double bass to make the music really swing, and you have the perfect accompaniment to your drinks reception, meal, conference or product launch- Champagne On Ice.
Experience
Champagne On Ice are seasoned professional musicians with years of experience between them playing at home and abroad. Their experience spans playing jazz with Alan Barnes, Jim Mullen and Snake Davis, through to playing Northern Soul with Jimmy James and the Vagabonds and modern pop on stages alongside Blue, Atomic Kitten and Daniel Beddingfield! Between them they play hundreds of gigs a year including piano trio gigs up and down the country at different jazz clubs and festivals.
