If you are searching for that “classic” Jazz sound from the golden Swing era of the 1930s through to the cool blue note grooves of 1960’s New York, then Soho Cool is the band for you!
Featuring music by the likes of John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Duke Ellington, Bill Evans, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Stan Getz, Charlie Parker, Frank Sinatra, Horace Silver and Sonny Rollins plus many more, Soho Cool recreates those sublimely cool sounds with an unrivalled degree of accuracy and sense of style.
Soho Cool is a purely instrumental band with a play list that can be as lively or as relaxed as you like. This makes the band ideal as background music at sophisticated wedding receptions, drinks parties, dinners or corporate events.
If you like those cool laid back west coast sounds of Stan Getz that is what you’ll get; if you adore the songs of Frank Sinatra (well who doesn’t?!) they will play those for you of course; or if you love it all that’s great as they do too!
Soho Cool is one of the busiest professional function bands active in UK and they often have the privilege to perform at some of the country’s most prestigious events. The jazz band has an unrivalled reputation amongst event organisers, wedding planners, venues and music agencies due to the high standard of their performances, excellent levels of customer service and yet surprisingly affordable prices.
Previous Clients/Venues Soho Cool has a wealth of experience in performing at corporate functions, weddings and private parties and this has allowed them the opportunity to play in some fantastic venues such as the Savoy Hotel, the top of “the Gherkin”, and the British Museum, to name just three.
Clients of the band are as diverse as CNN for the Royal Wedding, BP’s Christmas Party at the Tate Modern, and the opening of House of Fraser’s new store at Westfield London. In fact Soho Cool's performances are so sort after that they are even featured in the Hollywood film “Penelope” staring the wonderful James McAvoy and Christina Ricci.

30/08/2014 Soho Cool
"Everything went brilliantly - thank you. Soho Cool were superb. They played acoustically and it was a well-judged decision on their part. The volume level was such that those who wanted to listen could sit or stand nearby and still have a conversation. The quality of the performance was excellent - one of Nicola's cousins who is a professional musician and composer (and who has composed music which has been performed at the Proms) made several compliments and I don't think he would do so lightly. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and Soho Cool were a perfect accompaniment to it. As well as performing brilliantly they were well presented, polite and punctual. The communication before the event from both Alive Network and Soho Cool was also fine. We would recommend them to others and would use them again ourselves. 10/10 for everything."
