Biography Funkytown are an amazing function group that was formed in 2005 whilst studying for their degrees at Leeds College of Music. It was here that the group found a common passion for playing Funk Soul and Pop whilst also enjoying the challenge of adding new genres and amalgamations of styles to their repertoire. During their finals each member of the band achieved outstanding 1st class honors for their performance modules.
Since graduating they have not only established themselves among the top session players in the North but also as one of the most exciting new party bands in the UK.
The band have a great personal and professional attitude and can be guarantee to create an upbeat and exciting atmosphere at any party or corporate event.
With their highly energetic virtuosic female singers their blazing brass section and creative takes on classic tunes they guarantee to give you a night to remember and to provide a soundtrack that will give you no choice but to dance the night away!

"A huge thank you to Dan and Funkytown. They were so professional and accomodating, putting all my worries about arrangements for the night to rest. They were more than happy to play any requests and sounded excellent on the night. Set up was seamless and unobtrusive and they got the crowd up dancing!!
We thoroughly enjoyed listening to them and would HIGHLY recommend them and the site to all our friends.

"Our co-ordinator Clare Kimble was always helpful and very prompt with her replies and information. The service was seamless from choosing the band to booking and then completing the final arrangements – first class.
The band, Funkytown, were completely professional, friendly and excellent performers. We were contacted to discuss arrangements and we felt much more at ease following a chat on the telephone about playlists and the “special”songs that we had chosen. These “special” songs and all the others were sung with enthusiasm and talent and the quality of instrumentation was excellent.
Funkytown totally deserve their excellent reputation and we would not hesitate to book this band again or to recommend them to anyone needing a fun band to liven up a function.
