An acoustic duo provides a stylish live soundtrack that enhances your event without taking centre stage. Most combine a male or female lead vocalist with acoustic guitar or piano, often adding a second voice for rich harmonies. Less traditional combinations can feature violin, saxophone or percussion - and some duos use a cajon, loop pedal or backing tracks to build more energy for a livelier party.
Whilst some musicians remain completely unplugged, others may use a compact PA for larger venues. The result can produce live music that’s soft and romantic, cool and contemporary, or upbeat enough to have guests singing along.
Acoustic duo wedding packages
An acoustic wedding duo can perform as guests arrive for your wedding ceremony, accompany your entrance, play during the signing of the register and finish with an uplifting exit song. Many acts will also learn a special request with enough notice. During the wedding drinks reception, acoustic music fills the natural gap between the ceremony and wedding breakfast. It gives guests something to enjoy while photographs are being taken, encourages conversation and helps set the mood for the celebration ahead. Selected duos can also perform during the wedding breakfast, before the speeches or as early-evening entertainment.
Why book an acoustic duo for weddings, parties, corporate events and hospitality venues?
Acoustic duos perform familiar songs from across the decades, covering everything from modern pop and indie, to soul, Motown, country, folk, and singer-songwriter favourites. Their appeal lies in how those songs are reimagined, transforming dance hits into relaxed acoustic versions or upbeat singalongs.
Duos are also able to bring the atmosphere of live music to venues where a full band may be impractical. Their compact setup suits smaller spaces, outdoor events and venues with sound limiters, while allowing guests to continue talking comfortably. A relaxed set can be ideal to welcome guests, while an upbeat duo can become a more prominent part of the entertainment as the event develops.
Performance formats and what is usually included
Most bookings include around 90 minutes to two hours of live acoustic music, tailored around your ceremony, meal, speeches or event schedule. Most performers supply their own instruments, microphones and a PA - as well as a playlist of background music between live sets.
Based on 2026 prices, our duos start from around £500, with most customers paying an average of £770.71 including travel. Summer Saturdays, Christmas dates and bank-holiday weekends tend to be booked furthest in advance, with most clients booking 4-5 months ahead. Enquiring earlier gives you more choice, although excellent performers may still be available at shorter notice, particularly for midweek or off-peak events.
