An excellent, energetic and highly skilled show

“The Retro Team performed an excellent, energetic and highly skilled show at The Six Bells on Saturday 6th of June. Customers and staff alike thoroughly enjoyed the performance throughout the evening, and many a dance move was enjoyed with the infectious energy the band brought to the pub. The set list was excellent, and had everyone leaping up on the dance floor! We all thank and highly recommend Weekend Retro to anyone planning an event or party for any occasion!”

“Neil Chandler 31 January 2026 We hired The Retro Team for our joint 70th birthday party. We love live music and dancing, and the band did not disappoint. On the day, they arrived promptly, set up and sound-checked quickly - a really friendly and easy going band. They had provided a set list from which we had chosen 30 songs spanning the decades from the 60’s to the noughties, all great tunes which everyone enjoyed. All our guests had a great time and commented how good the band were – the dancefloor was packed all night. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a live band for a special party!”

“We hired Weekend Retro for a double "dance til you drop" retirement party. We couldn't be more happy with our decision. They were really good to deal with in the run up to the event with clear communication, a great list of songs to choose from for the two sets played, and even agreed to set up our playlist in between band sessions. The music and singing were fantastic on the night and the dance floor was packed. They really created the best possible party atmosphere and it was a truly memorable and happy occasion. Enormous thanks to everyone involved - you were all absolutely great! We cannot recommend Weekend Retro highly enough.”

“We hired the band for a joint 50th birthday party after hearing them at a local event. We got quick responses to requests which made arranging a date, requesting information and follow up communications easy. The band provided a list of songs for us to choose from, but they were also happy to add any new songs (providing they had time to rehearse them). On the day of the event, it was great to meet them. They are a really friendly and easy going band. They arrived at the time arranged to set up, and on the night the music was played with skill and enjoyed by all. Highly recommended!”

“One world [Brillant] would describe this band, on time. very smart, with great music and singing, we had approx 120 people at our do, and everyone I spoke to that night was most impressed with the Weekend Retro Team, as was I, will certainly want to book them again, very impressed, one small thing, their promo video clip does not do them justice.”
