Biography
The Party Set are a sensational party band who provide the ultimate live entertainment for any wedding reception, corporate event, award ceremony or party. Fronted by incredible vocalists, this band is available from a 10-piece showband to a stunning 27-piece orchestra, and all the ensembles pack a huge punch! Unlike many other bands they never use click tracks or backing tracks - every note you hear is completely live, giving the band’s performance unrivalled spontaneity.
One of the most sought-after bands on the scene today, The Party Set's carefully chosen setlist draws on music from the 1960s up to the present day. They perform Motown classics from Aretha Franklin, and Martha Reeves and the Vandellas; funk and soul hits from the likes of Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5; disco standards from CeCe Peniston and Chaka Khan; and current chart hits from Justin Timberlake, Jess Glynne, Bruno Mars, Adele and Amy Winehouse.
The band performs with infectious energy to get audiences straight on the dance floor. Most of the band’s sets are orchestrated as medleys, with seamless transitions from song to song to keep the dancefloor full all night long.
The band also has a set of fabulous Jewish repertoire for Israeli dancing, including Hava Nagila and a great selection of other traditional and modern Jewish hits.
The Party Set have been performing together for over 15 years and have a reputation for excellence, with a long list of satisfied customers including many repeat clients. They regularly perform at corporate events and private functions all over the country and abroad, with previous clients including Virgin, Ferrari, BMW, Lindt Chocolate, Triumph, E-On UK and T-Mobile. The band have performed at The Eiffel Tower in Paris and UK venues including Wembley Stadium, Claridge's, the V&A and ExCeL London - and always know how to get the party started!
Optional extras
The Party Set can provide dancers for an even more stunning show, you can also add a group of contemporary dancers who perform choreographed routines alongside the band, adding a fabulous extra energy to the performance.
Background and drinks reception music: the musicians can perform in smaller ensembles providing background music earlier in the day. Options available include:
- Vocal-led roaming pop band (3- to 7-piece) performing walkabout music
- Instrumental jazz bands, from a cocktail pianist to a jazz quartet
- Vocal-led soul bands, performing relaxed pop and soul music
- Bespoke production and line-ups: The Party Set offers 10, 11, 14, 18 and 27 piece line-ups as standard. We can also provide bespoke line-ups to suit different events – just get in touch with your ideas!
Your Event
Your event is special to the band and every event is treated separately, ensuring that your requirements are met. From choosing the perfect line-up to suit your event to smaller details such as the dress code, special requests and performance times, The Party Set aim to be completely flexible to make sure that you get the perfect entertainment.
Tech Spec and Production
The Party Set are self-contained providing PA and stage lighting for events with up to approximately 250 guests, although they are happy to work with an external production company if you have one at your event. If you have more than 250 guests at your event, speak to us about hiring our deluxe sound and lighting package.
