With a killer repertoire, The Modern Way's performance includes something for everyone with classics from The Beatles, current pop hits from Jessie J, indie classics from Kings of Leon and much more! If that's not enough, the band can also learn your special song request providing enough notice is given (please see booking options for more details).
Your Event The Modern Way's live sets are flexible and can be performed as 2 x 60 minutes or 3 x 40 minutes. If required, the band can also provide an addition 45 minute set of Soul, Funk and Motown hits (please see performance times or speak to an Alive Network booking agent for more details).
The band can also provide background music from an ipod playlist between their lives sets.
The Modern Way will tailor their look to suit your event. Whether it's suited and booted or a more casual look, just specify your requirements to an Alive Network booking agent.
As a 5 piece band, The Modern Way require a stage space of 4m x 5m but will accommodate whatever space is available. They are very adaptable to a range of room types and will always adjust volume levels to suit your needs.
Acoustic Set The Modern Way can perform 2 x 30 minute sets of acoustic music, ideal for afternoon performances, drinks receptions and over dinner entertainment.
With stripped back 'live lounge' versions of Radiohead's High and Dry, Bruno Mars' Just The Way You Are and more, The Modern Way's acoustic set will create a special atmosphere for your special occasion.
The acoustic sessions are available as a Duo (Vocals + Acoustic Guitar), a Trio (Vocals + Acoustic Guitar + Keys) or the full 5 piece band (Vocals + Acoustic Guitar + Bass + Keys + Percussion).

"The Modern Way were an exceptional band, and very much not a “traditional” granny pleasing wedding band from the 60s and 70s. We picked them as they played the music we both love from the 90’s and later and they did not disappoint.
The guests absolutely loved them and the dance floor was packed throughout. The rapport they had with both us and the guests and was second to none and they seemed to pick the set lists to match the atmosphere throughout the evening.
The highlights were the way they made our first dance (One Day Like This) so special and finishing on Sweet Child of Mine! I cannot recommend this band highly enough!
Alive Network (and Gemma) provided a simple, easy to use and reassuring service throughout. Having the formality and insurance of a contract took a great weight off our minds in the stressful lead up to the wedding.

"The Modern way were brilliant. Each and everyone of them was just an A class performer. I had reservations about the fact that they were a young band initially, but decided to take the risk based on the previews available on their site.
It was so much worth it. I loved every single thing: their professionalism, their timeliness, their flexibility, their interaction with the crowd, their friendly attitude, their enthusiasm and great levels of energy, their musical performance, their song choices and the list goes on.
Thanks a lot boys .. I think you have a great future ahead of you.

"Having hired bands before I found the 5 members of Modern Way a polite, respectable and pleasant bunch of young men, a rarity in today’s society. Because this came across from the minute they walked into the venue to set up their equipment, I treated them as our guests to enjoy the celebration of our daughter’s surprise 21st Birthday party.
With regards to their music ability, Modern Way had our guests packing the dance floor from the first number right up to the end of the last number they played. Our guests during the party commented how great they were.
I was pleased to see our guests from the young, aged 15 to the elderly aged 83 all dancing and enjoying themselves on the dance floor. It is not till I saw the guests’ enjoyment, I knew, I made the right choice in booking The Modern Way for our daughter’s 21st Birthday party.
Clare from Alive Network treated me as I was her only customer, she went back and forth getting my questions answered with many bands, till we decided on The Modern Way to entertain our guests. Having decided on the band she prepared the administration very efficiently. I had the peace of mind the band would turn up and that I was dealing with both a professional agent “Alive Network” and band “The Modern Way”.

"We booked The Modern Way for our wedding purely after hearing their demo on the
internet and we were not dissapointed.
It is fair to say that we were absolutely blown away by how good they were! We did not want a first dance so just asked the guys to start playing something to fill the
floor.
From the first note to the last encore the dance floor was packed with our friends and we could not have had more compliments for our choice of band.
If you want an awesome band book these guys!

"I wanted thank The Modern Way for an absolutely brilliant performance at our wedding in Milton Abbey.
I wanted to just say thanks to you and the guys for helping making our wedding day such a special occasion. You guys were absolutely fantastic and without doubt the best band that I have seen at a wedding (as so many of the guests commented).
You guys really looked like you were enjoying yourselves and that helped in ensuring that everyone else enjoyed themselves and the dance floor was packed all night!
There were some really brilliant moments including you guys singing through the window and from the grand piano as well as splitting up the crowd which was awesome.
I wish you and the guys all the best of luck in your careers – I'm sure you will be very successful!

"We just wanted to say a huge thank you for your amazing sets at our wedding in October at The Rose Bowl.

Before my wedding I said I wanted to be on the dance floor all night and you made sure there was no reason to leave. Amazing is all I can say!

"When we started planning our wedding we said what we wanted most of all was an awesome band and for people to have fun. The Modern Way exceeded all our expectations and made the evening special.
We've had loads of comments about the wedding but our guests all agree that the band were amazing. We've already had several people say they would definitely book them for other events and we would recommend the band to anyone who appreciates a quality, professional band who know how to have a good time and create a real party atmosphere!. You even got me dancing all night and I don't dance!"
