“Our co-ordinator Clare Kimble was always helpful and very prompt with her replies and information. The service was seamless from choosing the band to booking and then completing the final arrangements – first class. The band, Funkytown, were completely professional, friendly and excellent performers. We were contacted to discuss arrangements and we felt much more at ease following a chat on the telephone about playlists and the “special”songs that we had chosen. These “special” songs and all the others were sung with enthusiasm and talent and the quality of instrumentation was excellent. Funkytown totally deserve their excellent reputation and we would not hesitate to book this band again or to recommend them to anyone needing a fun band to liven up a function. “Funkytown arrived on time and everything went smoothly. They did all their sets as planned and the evening went very well indeed. They were also easy on the eye. In many ways they were unobtrusive, which sounds negative but is not meant like that. They got on with playing their music without a lot of banter or any self-important dilly dallying around. Before the event Funkytown phoned as planned to check on the order of the evening and make sure everything was ok. As promised they learnt a new song for the first dance. They also provided a cd of music for between the sets which meant we did not have to also have a DJ. If I were to have the event again I would not change anything.”

“This band were amazing. They are approachable, polite, accommodating with our requests prior to the wedding, even singing our rewritten version of our first dance. All of our guests commented on what a great set they played and there were only a few guests that resisted the temptation to hit the dancefloor. A massive thankyou to each member. “Funkytown were friendly and accommodating. They kept the atmosphere pleasant and the guests dancing. I couldn't have asked for a better band. It was useful to have several bands on one site and to have a good collection of MP3's to listen to. Some sites do similar things, but in the end it was the tracks for the Vibetown that convinced us to go with you. In other words it was the quality of the band that sold your service. Funkytown are an excellent and talented band who will provide a great atmosphere for your function. The Alive Network doesn't get in the way of them providing this. ”
