Jive Duo are Elliot on double bass and Matt on alto saxophone. They play mainly play jazz/swing music, but also have a repertoire of pop tunes.
The duo’s acoustic set up makes them suitable for any event or party that requires a mood to be set by refined acoustic background music, although exciting if listened to closely. In a larger venue the double bass can be amplified, but the duo’s true advantage is that they can set up anywhere without PA or amplification and take up very little space.
Elliot and Matt first played together when they met whilst studying at Leeds College of Music in 2012. They have performed in public together since 2013 and have much experience considering their relatively short careers. They have a wide range of previous clients from Kia Cars to wine bars to private house events.
