Tasty new talent: Whiskey for the Wounded

Brighton-based Whiskey for the Wounded is the latest original band to take advantage of free recording sessions in our new studio.

Alive HQ has been buzzing after the guys recorded three amazing tracks here for their latest EP last week. With a sound that sits alongside the likes of War on Drugs, Bon Iver and Radiohead – at least that’s what we think! – we can’t wait for the full EP release. Tasty.

Live In Session: Riptide

The latest band to join the Development programme, four-piece Riptide features the impressive talents of Dane Etteridge and Alex Roberts on guitar and vocals.

Listen to their acoustic cover of Skinny Love Live in Session at Alive HQ here.

And check out the band’s full profile (with some cracking demos) here.

Brace your elves…Christmas is coming

The early arrival of Santa in department stores this month was almost as soul destroying as that elf pun in our headline. That said, it probably is a good time for you guys, busy as you are, to start thinking about your Christmas repertoire.

Are there any favourites, new additions or absolute no-gos when it comes to Christmas covers? Tell us what makes your bells jingle here
