About Velodrome
Fronted by Mike Allen one of the UK’s premier vocalists/guitarists. On bass is the superb Zane Maertens and on drums record producer and drummer Darren Bazzoni.

Between them they have played or collaborated with an impressive amount of popular artists like James Morrison, Blue, Miss Dynamite, Sugababes, Paloma Faith, Plan B, Catharine Zeta-Jones, Basement Jaxx, Jocelyn Brown, The Feeling, Rose Royce, Gary Numan, Tom Jones, The Drifters, Edwin Starr, Georgie Fame, Alan Price, The Animals, The Searchers, and many more.

The band believe in interpreting not just copying songs and have their own unique sophisticated sound. They are able to achieve this by skillfully using technology; for example:

A) Using harmonizing technology (creating large harmony parts live thanks to the “TC Helicon Voice live2 ” by TC Helicon).

B) Looping technology (recording and layering guitars and vocal parts live).

C) Roland electric V drum kit (ideal for venues with sound limiters).

Your Event
Velodrome have invested in professional, quality instruments and equipment and guarantee a fantastic sound. Corporate clients can also be confident that large events can be catered for with optional added P.A. and lighting available for anything over 300 people.

All equipment is PAT tested and Velodrome also have full public liability insurance.

Zane Maertens is not only the bass player, but is also a superb classical and Jazz Guitarist which can add another dimension to the package; for example over dinner or at a reception. Please see booking options for more details.

When it comes to presentation the dress code will be aimed to complement your event. Black suits to cool casual but always smart.

Arrivals and set up times can be arranged for your convenience at no extra cost. Flexibility is the name of the game!
