The Tivoli Quartet have played at countless weddings and parties and consider themselves connoisseurs in the art of reading a room and providing just the right music and feel for the particular event.

Consisting of Female Vocals, Saxophone, Guitar & Double Bass, the format is ideal to play in the background during drinks receptions and meals but you can add trumpet, trombone, piano and/or drums if you need a bigger sound.

Whatever the line-up, The Tivoli Quartet remain committed to the sound of the era, and will deliver a well-honed and polished performance, crafted by 7 years of experience as a band at home and on the road. Truly a class act.

The quartet's repertoire is mostly the great American songbook, jazz and show tunes, plus a healthy selection of bossa novas. If there’s a song you really love, give them some notice (1 week per song) and they are happy to learn it.

As a quartet the whole band fits into one vehicle, which keeps expenses down and it’s good for the environment!

Their sound system is top class, and can be set up or packed up in less than 10 minutes.

The Musicians:
Sara- Vocalist
Sara is from Copenhagen, Denmark. She came to England in 2000 to study Jazz. Since then she has shared stages with prominent musicians such as, saxophonist Andy Macintosh (John Barry and Sarah Vaughan), Joe Hunter (Billie Holiday’s trumpeter in the UK) and Loose Tube’s Julian Nicholas and Ashley Slater. Sara has sung at a variety of venues and events over the years and travelled the world with her band on cruise ships and tours in Europe.

Robin- Saxophone
Robin is a highly skilled and experienced player as well as a band leader in his own right. He has toured and played all over the world with his bands in the last 15 years. His mastery of soprano, alto, tenor and bass saxes marks him out as a truly versitile musician.

Jason- Guitar
Jason plays with many of the top jazz players on the south coast and is now gigging and recording with his own trio. Jason plays classic songs from a classic era and has a particular gift with soothing jazz standards by the likes of Rogers & Hart, Gershwin and Duke Ellington. In recent years he has traveled the world playing pop music and jazz on cruise ships. He studied jazz for two years at Chichester College and has toured much of Europe including France, Spain and Turkey as well as playing in clubs and pubs in and around Sussex.

Dan- Double Bass
Dan has worked the jazz scene for 17 years, played with the ledgendary Jimmy Scott at Ronnie Scotts, guitar hero John Etheridge, tenor titan Bobby Wellins, former Oscar Peterson drummer Bobby Durham, former McCoy Tyner drummer George Johnson & many more. Dan has also worked abroad on cruise ships and Jazz Festivals around Europe.
