The Natives Biography
The Natives are a four-piece multi-talented band based in London. They play a vast repertoire of material from the 60’s – present day that allows them to adapt to any given scenario. The band has something for everyone with a multitude of old favourites for all ages, tastes and events.
As individual characters, musicians and performers, each member is unique and immensely talented in their own right but brought together, the fusion that is The Natives, comes alive.
The Natives were formed in 2000 and consist of: Nick – vocals / guitar Steve – vocals / keyboards Vinzenz– vocals / Bass Philipp G – drums
If you want loud and lively, The Natives will get you up dancing, creating a party atmosphere. If you just want to listen or have them play in the background, they will set the ambience. Whatever you want they have the material and experience to cater to your needs.
The above factors contribute in making The Natives one of the most in demand cover bands in the U.K.
Previous Experience Twin brothers Nick and Steve have been writing and performing music together for many years. In 2000, they decided to expand their set-up from duo to band and create the 'ultimate cover band'.
Nick and Steve have both played lead roles in London's West End; Nick played Danny and Kenickie in Grease at the Cambridge Theatre and Eddie in Mamma Mia ( original cast ) at the Prince Edward Theatre and Steve played Joey and Double J in Saturday Night Fever (Original cast) at the London Palladium.
The brothers were signed to Mercury records and completed a European arena tour, in their own band, performing in front of 15,000 – 20,000 people a night. They also appeared as featured singers for three years on the main stage at the Clothes Show Live at the N.E.C. in Birmingham. Nick and Steve also work as session singers, working with the likes of music producer, Jon Douglas (George Michael, Kylie Minogue and the All Saints). Typical entertainers, they just love to perform.
The Natives have performed at some of the most prestigious venues all over the country:
Millennium Stadium, Cardiff – Red Dragon F.M, performing to 15,000 people, aired live on radio. Labour Party Conference 2005 – Grand Hotel, Brighton. European Arena Tour – performing to 15,000 – 20,000 nightly. Royal Navy - Hilton Hotel, Salalah, Oman British Army - Cyprus British Army - Phristina, Kosovo Royal Navy – Orchid Club, Singapore. "You may not remember but you sang at our wedding in August 2010 at Parkfields, Hereford, to help you remember it was where our Friend played the drums and you seemed quite pleased with his performance!
Despite it being over 2 years ago, I still find it necessary to write and thank you for a great set.
The music was great, the set list was varied and appropriate, the vocals were brilliant and the atmosphere was electric. All of our guests still talk about the band and the best comment we have had was from my uncle who said 'the space boys were the best band I have ever seen, and I have seen Queen live!'
On another note, the band were polite and professional and the ladies mentioned that they were also 'quite hot', I hadn't noticed myself but my wife did!
Thank you all very much and we would love to have you back for maybe our 10th anniversary.....
Thanks again and whoever books you for their event, will certainly not be disappointed.
Kind regards
Jamie and Sharon Cooke"

"The Natives were a great fun band for our wedding. They got young and old on the dance floor including the groom who has never really been one for dancing!
They arrived and set up with no bother to anyone. They were friendly and happy even commenting at the end of the night what a nice crowd we all were.
I would have no hesitation booking them again or recommending them to any of my friends. Thanks guys for a fun night."

"The Natives were amazing and we are so delighted that we chose them to play at our wedding. They were a pleasure to deal with and filled us with confidence from the first time we spoke.
Our guests were blown away by their peformance as were we. There was not one moment that the dance floor was not filled and they did a fabulous job in keeping the party going.
Thank you so much to Nick, Steve, Philipp and Vinzenz for a perfect end to our perfect day.
Alive Network were very professional yet friendly to deal with and reassured us that we had picked the right band for our special day.
We would not hesitate to recommend both the Natives and Alive Network.
Thank you once again.
