With years of experience playing at events all over the country, the Swing Smiths Jazz Quartet have everything you need to transform the atmosphere of your event - performing sophisticated background music during dinner or a drinks reception, and then some more upbeat numbers for dancing after dinner!
The band has a huge repertoire of jazz standards performed by the likes of Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat 'King' Cole, Sammy Davis Jr, Nina Simone and Billie Holiday, and can usually learn special requests if made in advance.

The Swing Smiths Jazz Quartet is also available as a duo or trio for more intimate events, and as a quintet which can perform a greater amount of dancing music later into the evening.  Individual musicians are able to provide classical or contemporary music for church or civil wedding ceremonies.

Biography
Members of the Swing Smiths Jazz Quartet have performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival, on BBC television and are regularly employed for session work throughout the UK.

The band regularly perform at corporate events and private functions all over the country including prestigious venues in London such as The ExCel Centre, The Berkeley Hotel, The Imagination Gallery, and Inns of Court and at other venues throughout the UK including Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir Aux Quat’ Saisons, Oxfordshire, and Magdalen College, Oxford. Previous clients include E-ON UK, Mellon Ltd, Goldcrest Land and The Royal Air Force.

Your event is special to the band and every gig is treated separately, ensuring that your requirements are met. From choosing the perfect line-up to suit your event to smaller details such as the dress code, special requests and performance times, The Swing Smiths aim to be completely flexible to make sure that you get entertainment perfect for your event.

All the combinations fit into a small performance space and come equipped with PA and lighting suitable for audiences of any size, from 20 people to 200+ people.
