What They’ve Done Before? Through performing at weddings, festivals, corporate and private events since 2003, The Northern Monkeys have become the perfect choice for any occasion. They have performed at many events and venues throughout the UK and further afield including the Yorkshire Music Festival, Whitby Now Festival and Farsons Festival in Malta!
Benji (lead vocals & rhythm guitar) and Marc (lead guitar & backing vocals) started The Northern Monkeys in 2003 as an acoustic duo and were later joined by James (bass) and Sean (drums) to perform at larger events.
What Sort Of Music Do They Play? The Northern Monkeys have a varied repertoire with songs from artists such as The Beatles and The Who to The Killers, Vampire Weekend and the Kaiser Chiefs.
With set lists spanning 60’s classics to modern hits, The Northern Monkeys never fail to get everyone on the dance floor.

What Will The Band Look Like? The Northern Monkeys will dress to suit your occasion. For weddings, corporate events and more formal functions, the band will get suited and booted. However they are more than happy to dress less formally if required. Just let your agent know!
Your Event The Northern Monkeys energetic live sets can be performed as 3 x 40 minute sets, 2 x 45 minute sets or 2 x 60 minute sets. They can also provide music between sets through their PA system.
The Northern Monkeys can also provide a DJ Service to help keep your party going. This includes advanced requests, a manned laptop with 1000’s of songs and a band member available to take requests and make basic announcements on the night. The DJ Service is free if you book within 7 days of receiving your quote. Ask your agent for more details.

Superior Equipment The Northern Monkeys come complete with stage lighting and a professional PA system of 3200 watts, suitable for up to 300 guests. For bigger venues and events a larger PA is available at additional cost if required.

"Alive allowed us to easily find a band for our Christmas party that both fitted our budget and musical requirements. By offering us the ability to easily compare bands, it took the time, worry and effort out of the selections and booking process.
We fully enjoyed The Northern Monkeys, they were a nice bunch of guys, very accommodating with one of our staff who wanted to join in!"

"The Northern Monkeys played for my Dad's 60th birthday, and they were absolutely outstanding.
They started off with a Beatles number - I've never seen a dancefloor fill up so quickly, as chairs were shoved aside and all generations leaped onto the dancefloor with wild abandon! They read the crowd perfectly, and managed to keep both the oldies and the youngsters (as us 30-somethings still like to refer to ourselves!) happy, moving seamlessly from The Killers and Snow Patrol to Hendrix and The Who.
They brought a fantastic energy to the night, and we have been inundated with delighted feedback from all our party guests - aside from a few complaints about dodgy knees brought about by over enthusiastic dance moves! To top it off, they were throughly nice fellows, highly professional, and happily obliged any requests thrown their way."

"Alive Network and Clare were fantastic from the moment we made the first enquiry answering all the questions we had and responding promptly after the booking was made and as the date loomed. 10 out of 10, we would have no hesitation in using Alive Network or recommending them to friends.
Northern Monkeys were superb, we had nothing to worry about when they set up and the music and performances in the two sets were excellent. The dj sets in between and after the final set were also great incorporating all the music we had requested in advance. All in all a memorable experience.......... "

"We booked The Northern Monkeys through Alive Network for our wedding evening reception in Lifton, Devon in August 2012. Alive Network in particular Claire made the booking of the band extremely easy and hassle free. I would recommend Alive Network to anyone needing a band for any reason.
The Northern Monkeys were an amazing band who from the very first song got the atmosphere buzzing. All my guests loved them and there set list was spot on! They played 2 sets and in-between my father-in-law played in his band which worked amazingly well.
The Northern Monkeys are a top notch act and I would recommend them to anyone and would not hesitate in booking them again for any future event.

"Northern Monkeys played at our wedding in June 2012 and were absolutly amazing the dance floor was full all night. Our guests commented for weeks after how much they enjoyed them. "The Northern Monkeys were excellent. They arrived on time, set up promptly and were very friendly and professional. The lead member called me a fortnight before the wedding to discuss what we wanted and put my mind at ease.
On the night, they looked the part and the music they performed was outstanding. They had all the guests up dancing all night, and people kept asking for one last song at the end. They pleased old and young alike, and played a few requests as well. Their equipment looked professional and the dj’ing they did was excellent too.
I would book them again without hesitation and would recommend them to anyone looking for a really brilliant band. Thankyou again, it wouldn’t have been the same without you; I am eternally grateful. "
