Before The McQueens The McQueens met and formed in London 2004. All members are professional musicians and are in their twenties and thirties. Their talent and love of music is evident in every performance.
Matthew, the musical director and guitarist started his career at the American Guitar Institute and within 6 months of graduating at 19 was signed to Universal Records. He arena toured America and the UK supporting The Who, Neil Young, Nickelback, Wheatus, and The Wallflowers and has performed with Elton John, Robbie Williams, Holly Valance, Minnie Driver and has played to live audiences in excess of 20,000.
Danny the bass player, cut his teeth on the tribute band circuit appearing at Wembley Stadium as Ricky Martin!
Tom (percussion) is a member of successful Smiths and Queen tribute bands. He has also performed at the Isle of White, Glastonbury and Reading festivals in an originals band.
Both lead singers Jim and Catherine have been performing extensively over the past ten years in function, wedding and originals bands.

The McQueens Past Clients The band has predominately performed for private clients at a variety of venues including Woburn Abbey, Hampton Court, Brands Hatch, Pembroke Lodge Richmond Park, Moxhull Hall West Midlands, Commissioners House Chatham Historic Dockyard, Penny Hill Park Bagshot, Russell Hotel London, Margam Park South Wales, Morgan hotel Swansea, Heythrop Park Oxfordshire, Heddingham Castle Essex and Lympne Castle Kent.
The McQueens have also performed for corporate clients Sony at Cliveden House, Ocean Connect on the River Thames, Kent County Council, Medway Council in Kent, the Association of Local Government Officers and Fairbridge.
What kind of music will they play? Functions today boast a guest list with an eclectic mix of ages. The McQueens choice music will reflect that. Sets can include music from the 50s and 60s with ‘Rock Around the Clock’ and ‘Surfin USA’ through the 70s and 80s with ‘Hot Stuff’ and ‘Don’t you want me Baby’ to the 90s and 2000s with ‘Poker Face’, ‘Sex on fire’ and ‘I Gotta a feeling’. The band work from a basic list of songs picking songs on the fly as the evening develops to ensure the music is non stop and exciting to dance to.

What will the band look and act like? The McQueens always dress and perform formally in dinner suits and white shirts with black dress for the female vocalist. They feel that personal presentation and projection is a very important part of the overall performance and should display a clean stylish look with a positive but not bullish image.
Your Event The McQueens are able to perform 3 x 45 minute sets or 2 x 65 minute sets with pre-mixed disco tracks played inbetween.
The band takes pride in offering to perform any reasonable first dance of your choice and will learn it before the night if necessary!
The McQueens prefer to set up early wherever possible without extra cost to avoid the undignified disruption of back stage crew invading your setting with flight cases and sound checks.
To ensure guests take away fond memories of the evening The McQueens produce documentary/reportage photos of the event that are available free from their website.

Acoustic Set The McQueens can provide up to 3 x 30 minute sets of acoustic music, perfect for afternoon performances, drinks receptions or dinner entertainment.
The acoustic sessions provide stripped-back, 'live lounge' style versions of Use Somebody by Kings Of Leon, At Last by Etta James and many more. The acoustic sets can be booked with a duo or trio line up. Please see booking options or speak to an Alive Network booking agent for more details.
Equipment The McQueens carry PA systems up to 5000 watt suitable for audiences of up to 500 guests. 8 x par 64 cans & controller provide stage lighting which is static but more than adequate to dance to. Main and back up amps and instruments are of the best quality and of professional standard commensurate with the quality of performance all are serviced and PAT tested regularly.

"Just to say the band were absolutely amazing. I don't think the dance floor was empty once and everyone has said how good they were! They really made the evening so special and we loved every song! There were a few pairs of sore feet from all the dancing last night - but completely worth the pain!!
Can I ask how photos are available and whether we can get copies? We are on honeymoon on tomorrow and wont be back till 21st April so won't be able to access anything till then.

Just a little note to say thank you to all of the band for your amazing performance at our wedding on 28th August at Charleston Manor.
Your help with the ceremony music helped calm the nerves, the acoustic set was perfect and the evening sets were so fantastic - we never wanted it to end. Even the first dance was fun! We've had so many guest asking about you and saying how awesome you were - certainly never heard a better band for any wedding ... luckily it was ours! The photos also are absolutely gorgeous.

A very belated card to thank The McQueens for a wonderful evening. They really were on of the highlights of our wedding and played an amazing first dance number combining David Gray and Billy Idol seamlessly, not an easy ask!

Oh you're really THE BEST............and you put my songs on there too (I had a bit of a cry - I'm just soppy) - you really did help us to have the best day ever.................. your band is so so fabulous............the way the duet performed played Soul Sister and 'Feel My love' was so perfect!! And people STILL talk about the party and your band..... so thank you again.
As for the photos - brilliant...........the slide show however - it's like a gift from you - so really - thank you - it's just perfect................

Scarily .......i think my son seems to be planning to make it all legal with Sam (his girlfriend who was at the wedding) - soooo maybe another wedding yet!
