Customer Reviews: 1 of 1
"Hi Rebecca. Just to let you know that the Big Night Out took place in Ilkley West Yorkshire on Saturday and the CAT Pack, who supplied the music, were excellent.
Richard, the band leader, was a top bloke, we thoroughly enjoyed the set and the dance floor was packed so I guess that's always a pretty good indication of whether people like them or not.
We're not sure whether we will be doing the ball again next year, but if we do, there's every chance that we will book them again. Thanks again, I thought your operation was very efficient.
Regards, Mark Dexter"

Equally suited for corporate evenings and weddings or in swing 'n' jive dance halls, cabaret clubs and theatres, The Cat Pack have a new and refreshing approach to the big band style which makes them one of the most exciting and all encompassing shows around.
Their show features the very best in big band music both old and new, from the great swing era right through to the modern sounds of Jools Holland and the Brian Setzer Orchestra. The Cat Pack also feature brand new arrangements as featured on their releases with Raucous Records and also the cream of many of the north’s leading jazz players. Amongst their ranks include musicians who have performed with the BBC Big Band, Jools Holland Rhythm n Blues Orchestra, Syd Lawrence Orchestra, Joe Longthorne, 42nd Street, Official Tribute to the Blues Brothers, Diane Schure, McCoy Tyner, The Supremes, The Four Tops and also award winners of the BBC Big Band competition, of which The Cat Pack themselves were winners of the ‘Best Soloist’ prize in 2002.
The Cat Pack also perform several extra themed shows which include, Strictly Swing, featuring exclusively material from the classic Rat Pack era as made popular once again through artists such as Robbie Williams, Michael Buble and Harry Connick Jnr; GI Jive, including predominantly instrumentals from the original 30’s/40’s swing period (Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Count Basie, etc); and Boogie Blues, a tribute to the Jools Holland boogie woogie and rhythm’n’blues material as originally made great by the likes of Ray Charles, Louis Prima, Dinah Washington, Louis Jordan and Peggy Lee.
The Cat Pack’s own unique show and all of their themed shows come with up to three male or female vocalists.
Please note The Cat Packs standard line up is an 9 piece band, for larger band options please see booking options & discuss this with your agent.

Reviews “The Cat Pack are Englands rockin’ swing equivalent to the Brian Setzer Orchestra with self-written numbers like, “You Need More Room Than That (To Swing A Cat)” and “Devil In High Heels”. A swinging orchestra with 2 singer/guitarists and 2 lady singers, The Cat Pack deliver a sincere set of music.” Frans van Dongen, Boppin Around magazine, Holland.
“I like their clever name and I like their big sound. ‘You Need More Room Than That (To Swing A Cat)’ is one of two songs written by songwriter team Darren Juvie and Richard Blanchard and it swings hard reminiscent of Brian Setzer’s Orchestra. Swing fans who love a big sound will enjoy this CD.” Gary Maag-Bristol, ‘Blue Suede News’ magazine, USA.
“Never have we enjoyed such a tremendous evening of talent and seen musicians enjoying a gig so much.” R.Rogers (in a letter to the Yorkshire Post following our gig at the Leeds City Varieties).
“There are big bands and there are bigger bands but this fabulous CD has persuaded me that the Leeds-based Cat Pack are currently the biggest and the best. In taking the best of big band boogie, jump jive, r&b and swing, this band rocks and rolls like no other.” Chris Woodford, Now Dig This magazine.
“Whether it’s a blasting tenor solo from one of the sax section, or a clattering boogie piano intro, or a rousing crescendo from the trombones, these guys, all reading from charts, know how to create excitement. Don’t miss them.” Tony Watson, Blues ‘n’ Rhythm magazine.
“The Cat Pack are a dangerous outfit. Dangerous because they are likely to blow the opposition away with their huge sound. If you are looking for an evening of jumping R’n'B to which you can dance the night away, then I suggest you get the Cat Pack booked up as soon as possible!” Mike G, Putting On The Style website
