The 101 Trio consists of three talented musicians, up and coming in the London jazz scene. Their repertoire includes music from the greats such as Duke Ellington, Miles Davis and Louis Armstrong, plus many other well known jazz standards, tailored to suit your event.
The trio are the perfect compliment to any wedding, corporate event, evening dinner, or party. They pride themselves on musicianship, attention to detail, reliability and flexibility.
Ben (Piano) Since completing his Music degree in jazz performance and popular music composition, Ben has developed a career as a session and studio musician. His skills at the piano have allowed him to play with many successful artists up and down the country, performing at venues such as 02 Academies, arenas and the Royal Albert Hall. Ben's technical, yet creative style has proven to be a hit with audiences.
Harry (Bass) Harry has established himself as one of the ‘in demand’ bassists on the London music scene, playing with some of the top jazz players in the country as well as recently sharing the stage with the likes of Will Young, Ocean Colour Scene and Ershad Alamgir. Notable venues played include Ronnie Scotts, The Royal Albert Hall and The Barbican. John (Drums) John started his career as a teenager, playing percussion for local shows and pantomimes. This soon widened and he began playing in small jazz ensembles and big bands. Since graduating from his Music Performance degree, John has continued to build his reputation as one of the most exciting young players to take to the jazz scene in recent years.
In addition to Jazz, John has played for a number of leading bands and celebrities including Lisa Knapp at the Isle of Wight Festival, dep drummer for the well-known folk big band ‘Bellowhead’ and has performed in a supporting band alongside Mumford and Sons, and the Stranglers.
