Swing Central is a group of nine talented musicians bought together by a love of swing, big band and jive – music that never goes out of fashion and is loved by people of all generations. The band has a dynamic set list that is tailored to the atmosphere of your event.  They have a passion for all things vintage and love to recreate the styles of the 1930s, 40s and 50s in both their sound and look.

Swing Central choose the best songs for getting people dancing, giving you an unforgettable evening of top quality entertainment.  Their varied repertoire list concentrates on the classic big band swing charts from the Goodman, Miller, Ellington and Basie bands, but also features authentic Dixieland and Charleston, jumpin' jive classics, popular Rat Pack songs and also more recent swing tunes.

With their high energy performance, unrivalled sound and fantastic musicianship, Swing Central put on a show that you'll remember for years to come and have everything you’ll need to make your wedding reception, party or corporate event really swing!

Additional vocals
Add male vocals to the standard 9-piece line-up for an even more authentic Rat Pack sound, crooning to the songs of Frank Sinatra, Bobby Darin and many more!  Add female vocals for a stunning extra dimension to the band's performance, including extra vocal harmonies and duets.

Background Jazz

Previous Experience
Swing Central are a group of nine professional musicians who have been regularly performing together since 2005. Members of the band have appeared at the North Sea Jazz Festival, on BBC television, and are regularly employed for session work throughout the UK - having featured alongside artists as diverse as Elton John, KT Tunstall, Fyfe Dangerfield, Jon Allen, Michael Ball, Mica Paris, Fran Healy, Craig David, Tony Hadley, Marti Pellow, Il Divo, Suzi Quatro, M83, Russell Watson and Barbara Windsor.

The individual musicians also have a wealth of experience in other fields of music including composition, teaching, musical direction, session work, sound engineering and events management.

Swing Central regularly perform at corporate events and private functions all over the country, at venues in London including Wembley Stadium, The ExCel Centre, Lord's Cricket Ground, Pinewood Studios, The Berkeley Hotel, The Imagination Gallery, and Inns of Court, and at other venues throughout the UK - including Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir Aux Quat’ Saisons, Oxfordshire, and The ICC Birmingham.

The band have run their own swing dance events, have accompanied swing and jive dance lessons, and have performed at music festivals in London and further afield. They are the perfect accompaniment to swing and jive events, vintage festivals and any other occasion where you're looking for an authentic swing band.
