As well as traditional Scottish and Irish music Dave plays all styles of music on the bagpipes. Blues Jazz Rock ancient and modern as well as an extensive interest in African and Indian music. These influences can be heard on his many recordings and he is often booked to do Hindu and Muslim weddings due to his ability to combine highland pipes with Asian drumming.

Dave is available to play at weddings, funerals of all denominations (as well as Scots and Irish), whiskey tasting, christenings, birthday parties and retirement parties.

He is an accomplished session musician, composer and teacher who has had experience in stage, alternative comedy, film, tv and studio work playing with many well known stars, as well as leading his own group Sham Rock who play at Ceilis, barn dances and concerts. In which he plays flute, whistles and bodrian drum plus a unique style of singing.

He gives private lessons on the bagpipes and he is Musical Director of Fire in the Head. A school for music, poetry, art, theatre, comedy, improvisation and all things sustainable for the continuance and enjoyment of this good earth.

Dave is also based in Brittany, France and can be booked to play at festivals or functions there.
