A Rhythm section that understands how to replicate the sounds of soul and Motown is a rare thing but Shake Rattle & Soul’s backline ‘the rhythm machine’ interpret this music with power, passion and amazing accuracy. Partnered with the horn section (trumpet, trombone and sax) and their groovy dance moves, this act set the stage alight. (This horn section expands to up to a four piece section in Shake Rattle & Soul’s largest line up). Featuring some of the countries best young musicians who have toured Europe, Canada and Asia in Big Band’s, jazz ensembles and touring function bands.
With the option of two of the countries leading ladies fronting this act Belinda Kae and Sherrie Graham have been taking the British gospel scene by storm, with amazing harmonies, incredible voices and infectious personalities, these two ladies recreate the sound of Tina Turner, Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, Martha Reeves and many more.
No band is complete without its own brand of front man; Dean Vincent has been singing soul since he was no more than a young boy. His powerhouse voice and quick one liner’s have made him one of the Midlands most sought after front men.
Musicians in this act boast an impressive musical CV having played anywhere from small venues to the NEC and Glastonbury.
Shake Rattle & Soul’s show replicates the best of Soul and Motown delivering countless classics like Higher and Higher, Dancing in the Street, Be Young Be Foolish Be Happy, You Can’t Hurry Love as well as many more. A repertoire list spanning over four hours and comprising music from six decades this band are never short of followers on the dance floor and audiences longing for more. The day went perfectly and Shake Rattle and Soul were perfect too, please convey a great big thankyou to the band for a very professional show. The standard of musicianship was excellent, they were friendly and helpful, and most importantly the dancefloor was full right up to the end of the night! I would have liked to have chatted to the band more as they were very friendly, but obviously it was a busy day! Please forward my thanks to Dean and the band for their part in making our wedding a perfect day, for making it a great party that evening, and for letting myself and my brother share the stage! I would not hesitate to recommend Shake Rattle and Soul to anyone looking for a wedding band or if they just want to have a party!
I just wanted to add that I am so glad our first band cancelled on us - SR&S were absolutely perfect!
Shake Rattle and Soul really helped make our wedding special! They were a fantastic band, loved their style and music. Really would love love love to hear them play again! Thank you so much to the whole group! They were brilliant!
