With swing music literally coursing through his veins (Russell is the son of an ex B.B.C. big band recording artist) he grew up with the sounds of Frank Sinatra Dean Martin Tony Bennett and Nat King Cole filling the air and so it came as no surprise that he followed in his father's footsteps and he has carved out a successful career performing across the UK and Europe.
With clients such as Ferrari Bentley and Jaguar amongst many other blue chip companies having him perform at corporate events along with private parties for David Beckham and many other celebrities his talent has remained in great demand.
Russell was also chosen to sing at the wedding of England and Manchester Utd footballer Wes Brown and his performance was highlighted in OK Magazine.
Recent television appearances including the hit reality show "four weddings" along with guest artist slots on Granada daytime TV have raised Russell’s profile even higher making him one of the most sought after performers around.
As well as remaining faithful to the ‘crooners’ of the past Russell’s repertoire includes many songs from the Robbie Williams swing album and also new tracks performed by Michael Buble such as Home Everything Lost Haven't Met You Yet and Hold on.

Many thanks for helping us to organise our party.
We were delighted with both the acts we hired through you.
Russell Shaun was fabulous. He used his 50's mic which was great, and everyone danced.
Hipster were fantastic. Everyone was up and dancing all night, including the over 50's and the under 14's! We had a great night, and all our guests have been phoning to praise the band and ask for their details.

Firstly a massive thanks to you. We really appreciate all your help, you worked really hard as we were constantly asking for details on various artists and you were very persistant, friendly and extremely helpful.
Secondly we would like to say how amazing Russell Shaun was! He made the day so special, we definitely needed some music during the canapes as this was when we were having our hundreds of photos taken and it was so nice to know that our guests were being well entertained. Russell was great not only his singing and performance but his personality too he interacted with our guests and made our day complete.
Russell also sang during our meal. Again this was much needed and we chose so well with Russell. Again he was interacting with everyone and we had so many excellent comments, a few people wanted to know if he sold cd's which he didn't but if he could do this I would certainly advise it!
Our guests during the meal were joining in with him singing along and it just made for such a great atmosphere.
I can't rave enough about this entertainment. Russell far surpassed himself, we were looking for a singer for some entertainment and we got it tenfold. Absolutley perfect.
Thanks again Gemma, booking this entertainment was very smooth and trouble free exactly what you need when organising a wedding and I will certainly be recommending you in the future.

Both Maxine Molin and Russell Shaun were excellent and full value for money. I would fully recommend both of them to anyone considering live music at a wedding or other event. The fact that both artists were so well prepared and didn't require lots of instructions or guidance but introduced themselves on arrival & then just got set up and produced a high quality performance.

Thanks for your email, we were thrilled with our entertainment at our wedding, so thank you very much for being part of the booking service.
We couldn't have wished for a better start to our evening reception than with Russell Shaun and his hugely talented band. Russell was professional from start to finish and we were blown away by his singing talent. The songs which he played sounded like professional recordings and got everyone up and dancing straight away. So many of our guests were impressed with the band and wanted to know where they were from. Being a musician myself, I couldn't have hoped for a better band to play at my wedding, they were everything I'd hoped they would be and much, much more. I can't thank Russell and his band enough for helping to make my wedding the most fantastic day.

Just a quick email to say a massive thank you to yourself, and a request that you forward on my greatest of thanks to both Russell Shaun and Andy Davey. Both artists really made mine and my husbands wedding day, and the amount of compliments we've had on them have been overwhelming.
Firstly, Andy was fantastic! Everyone was in fits of laughter seeing one another's caricatures. I think he managed to capture everyone within the three hours he was there, which was just phenomenal. He had a very professional attitude, although he never stopped drawing he still managed to talk to anyone who was interested in him and provided fab stories about when people don't find his perception of them very funny! If I were him I'd want a body guard! Luckily my guests had a sense of humour and everyone was incredibly impressed at their gifts (better than Sugared Almonds any day!)...
...Then came Russell Shaun, he was great fun and just a superb singer and entertainer! He allowed my bridesmaid, a fabulous singer in her own right, to do a song for us without prior warning, even though by this time she was rather tipsy, but did a great job, and made my night! Everyone just loved the music, it was classy and upbeat without the usual wedding cheesyness, it must have been good because two guests who were due to go home went on to book into the hotel we were in so they could stay and enjoy the music. Another compliment was from my Aunt whose daughter got married a month after me, on my cousins wedding day, she whispered to me 'I much preferred your wedding, i wish my daughter would have hired that band you had instead of this DJ' I was speechless! My mum is 50 next year and should we have a party for her, Russell will be on top of my list for bookings.

The wedding went seamlessly and Russell Shaun was brilliant. We all arrived back from the church and the sun was shining, the food was cooking, drinks were being handed out and Russell was on the patio singing - this, I think, will remain always as one of the most perfect and memorable parts of the entire day. The guests all mingled while we had our photos taken, enjoying the atmosphere that Russell created as he sang. Everyone really enjoyed the day and Russell's singing really complimented each individual part of the reception - I would highly recommend Russell Shaun and Alive network to any of my friends or family booking a special event, both you and Russell have been helpful and professional and I am very grateful.
