"My memory of my 70th birthday will always include the joy Roy bought to our gathering with his beautiful voice and his wonderful choice of music.
We sat in my daughter’s garden and revelled in listening to his lovely singing. His personal warmth and charm, with his ability to reach out to everyone, whatever their age, is a great talent.
We wish him well and hope that he enjoys the fame he richly deserves, but mostly we thank him for the happiness he brought to us on a Saturday afternoon in May."

An accomplished musician Roy plays all the classic hits from the 60's to the present day including The Beatles; Rolling Stones; Van Morrison; Crowded House; The Monkees; Bob Dylan; Simon and Garfunkel with some Rock and Roll and Irish folk songs thrown in for good measure.
In fact the frontman of top Alive Network band "Performance" has a repertoire of 300 songs from the last 5 decades performed in a laid back style with an acoustic guitar and male vocals.
Singing in a professional capacity for over 20 Years Roy has an extensive portfolio which also includes acting work appearing in the cult northern soul film ‘Function up the Junction’ with Dennis Pennis star Paul Kaye. He has now performed over 1800 gigs and manages to find time to record his own material. Roy has recorded with Nightmares on Wax and chart toppers Olive as well as having material featured in the famous Britpop film Human Traffic. Performance have also supported bands such as The Inspiral Carpets and Ocean Colour Scene. He also co-wrote Performance’s 1996 single Saturday Night and Sunday Morning which lead to numerous headlining appearances at all the leading Scooter Rallies in the UK and America.
Roy has also worked with/ appeared with: Glenn Tilbrook of Squeeze; and Ska bands The Selector & The Beat. In 2010 he performed alongside Baz from The Fratellis and Kev Brown from Beautiful South in a charity gig for Mencap raising lots of money in the process!
Performing around 200 bookings per year with past and present clients such as Guinness Bacardi Ibis Hotels Tynemills brewery Epsom Racing Scottish and Newcastle Sky TV and Bass Leisure Roy guarantees an excellent evening's entertainment for all ages.
Roy is available for residency bookings one-off gigs or private functions. His set list is available for you to choose the songs you want to hear. Songs requests are considered for a small charge providing Roy has at least four weeks' notice.
Your Event A DJ option is also available (FREE if booked within 7 working days of enquiry) with Roy turning his passion for music to the decks (CD decks) - giving you the opportunity to play some favourites from your CD collection too! A small lighting stand is used plus Roy compering with microphone to ensure the smooth-running of the music played.
With a vast experience of weddings private functions hotel function rooms and Marquees Roy is perfect as the main entertainment or as laid back acoustic music during your meal.

"We met Roy a week before our wedding, immediately he put our mind at rest asking what music we liked and also sharing what he played. We had originally booked 2 live sets of 45 minutes plus DJ.
On the day of the wedding he arrived early and after our wedding whilst everyone enjoyed drinks he played an hours acoustic, it really added to the chilled out atmosphere any couple want.
In the early evening he played a DJ set for the kids who danced and had a good time, at 8:30 Roy switched to playing live. A week before he had asked us what our first dance was, we had chosen a track he didn't know 'Read My Mind' by The Killers at 9pm he played our song and put an acoustic twist which was amazing to hear being sung to us. He then went on to play straight through to midnight without a break, the dance floor was heaving playing tracks from the 50's right to today.
It's been 3 weeks since our wedding and our guests are still talking about the wonderful night they had... Thank You Roy.
Would we recommend him.... Yes, would we book him again... Yes."
