What Do They Do?
Performance is a group of professional musicians dedicated to their cause. Each member has a wealth of experience in their own right with high profile film and band credits in the Britpop scene. As a band they have played weddings private parties and corporate events filling floors wherever they play! The band have augmented their line-up to create the 'Sunset Duo' who can also be found on the Alive Network roster.

What Have They Done Before?
Performance have been together for 15 years. The band was formed by Roy Foster along with his older brother Fozz and has matured into one of Nottingham’s leading cover bands playing a range of quality music by some of the world’s most established bands and song writers. The band’s exciting energetic live performances have gained rave reviews from a multitude of satisfied clients. Vocal harmonies and outstanding musicianship has resulted in the band being in constant demand.

Roy Foster
Singing in a professional capacity for over 20 Years Roy has an extensive portfolio which also includes acting work appearing in the cult northern soul film ‘Function up the Junction’ with Dennis Pennis star Paul Kaye. He has now performed over 1800 gigs and manages to find time to record his own material. Roy has recorded with Nightmares on Wax and chart toppers Olive as well as having material featured in the famous Britpop film Human Traffic. Performance have also supported bands such as The Beat The Inspiral Carpets and Ocean Colour Scene. He also co-wrote Performance’s 1996 single Saturday Night and Sunday Morning which lead to numerous headlining appearances at all the leading Scooter Rallies in the UK and America.

Roy has also worked with/ appeared with: Glenn Tilbrook of Squeeze; and Ska bands The Selector & The Beat. In 2010 he performed alongside Baz from The Fratellis and Kev Brown from Beautiful South in a charity gig for Mencap raising lots of money in the process!

Fozz
Fozz has been a full time professional musician since leaving school and has a reputation as one of the most exciting guitarists in the music industry today. He is the current lead guitar player for Jason Pierce’s Spiritualized and the rock legend Julian Cope. He also fronts his own band Dogntank along with Performance bass player Charlie Wayman. His session work has led him to playing and recording with chart-topping bands such as Olive Girls Aloud Hearsay and Samantha Mumba. He has toured the world on numerous occasions playing gigs such as the Reading Festival Glastonbury and the Fuji Festival as well as supporting bands such as Primal Scream Iggy and the Stooges Radiohead Lighthouse Family etc. He also runs his own recording studio which has recently been used by Starsailor The 22/20s and Julian Cope.

Charlie Wayman
A musician for over 20 years with a wide range of playing and song writing skills Charlie once held a record contract with rock band Lukan which lead to invaluable knowledge and experience of the music scene. He has played full arena tours with band such as Def Leppard and Thunder performing in venues that have included Wembley Arena Birmingham NEC and Cardiff Arena. He has also supported artists such as Brian May UB40 and Ronan Keating. Charlie has had numerous songs published and played on national radio and has also recorded with artists such as Nigel Kennedy and soul singer Ruby Turner. Charlie currently plays in the rock power trio Dogntank along with Performance guitarist Tony “Fozz” Foster.

Tony Cross
One of the most dependable rhythm guitar/vocalists on the professional circuit Tony has a great vocal range which complements the Performance live sound. He has been playing on both a semi- and fully-professional basis for over 20 years. Tony was a founding member of the hugely successful tribute bands ‘Rolling Clones’ and ‘Oasisn’t’ as well as performing in numerous university and promotional tours for companies such as Red Bull and WKD drinks. Among his 1000 gigs to date Tony has played abroad in places as diverse as Oman Bahrain and Greece.

Neil Lowe
The newest member of Performance and one of the most exciting drummers on the covers scene today Neil is influenced by only the most legendary drummers such as The Who’s Keith Moon, Style Council & Paul Weller drummer Steve White, and Led Zeppelin’s John Bonham etc. He has recently played various clubs and universities with the Rolling Clones and has now added his drumming and vocal talents to Performance. Neil has been playing for over 15 years and has plied his trade in numerous original bands and studio projects.

What Sort of Music do They Play?
Performance play for those who know and love their music – from the teenybopper to the mature connossieur. Being a 4-piece guitar band, they play guitar-based rock and pop ranging from Mod-pop to Britpop to modern Indie-pop. Sprinklings of soul from Dionne Warwick, pepperings of pop from George Michael and a flourish of folk from Bob Dylan can also be found for those who are keen on a musical blend to unite the dancers of the world… In short, no-one is disappointed!

Superior Equipment
Performance use a state-of-the-art 3200 watt full range HK Audio PA system for all their performances. This offers superior sound quality and is easily adjustable to suit your and your venue’s volume requirements. The band's investment in such a good quality PA system demonstrates their commitment to delivering the best possible 'Performance' for your money.

What Will they look like on the Night?
The band constantly strives to look their best at all times, and Performance can adapt their wardrobe to suit your event, whether it be smart or casual. Please specify your needs to your agent when making an enquiry.

The band has a four-piece line up which means they shouldn’t take up too much space if your venue is a little smaller than the Albert Hall! (5m x 4m will suffice.)

If you really wish to put them to good use, the band can also provide more ambient music for the more subtle parts of an all-day event or just for a more relaxed evening’s entertainment.

What Will Happen on the Night?
The band can perform up to 2 hours of their electric rock and pop set and transform this into their acoustic set by removing a few musicians and adding an injection of ‘cool’…

Performance are incredibly flexible with all aspects of their show; no engagement is too big or too far away. They are very adaptable to a range of room types and always adjust the volume levels on their PA system to suit your requirements.

For the complete package Performance can provide a DJ option with a small lighting rig, CD decks, and a member of the band to compere and ensure the smooth running of the music. Because a CD deck is used, you can bring your own tunes to bop to as well!
