"Just to let you know we had a fantastic evening and the quartet were extremely good."
Highlights * Elegant String Quartet * Your needs matched with great customer service * Best Rates in the South * Eclectic setlist to suit many occasions
The members of the Mancini quartet met while studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. The drive behind forming the group was to create an ensemble to span all musical genres from classics to jazz standards; from pop songs to the hits of the West End. With one of their members Rustom Pomeroy being a successful composer and arranger they can provide string quartet versions of any pieces you may request which are not in the published repertoire. With this diverse musical facility they can add a unique atmosphere to your wedding party or dinner.
The work undertaken by the Mancini String Quartet and its members is vast. They have provided music for the Queen at her Jubilee celebrations the opening of the Millenium Bridge over the Thames City of London Festival and many private parties, the Jersey Tourist Board, weddings and dinner functions.
The members of the quartet have a wealth of experience in many diverse musical genres. The members have all played with the very best of the British orchestras - The London Philharmonic Orchestra; The Philharmonic Orchestra, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the BBC Concert Orchestra to name just a few. Regular television and radio appearances include Strictly Come Dancing, Richard and Judy, Top of the Pops, CD UK, MTV, the Brit Awards, the MOBO Awards, Proms in the Park and Record of the Year. Their Classical Pop and commercial work includes working with artists and bands such as Robbie Williams, Nigel Kennedy, Russell Watson, McFly, Pet Shop Boys, Jose Carreras, Meatloaf, Kanye West and Gareth Gates.
Corporate Functions The Mancini String Quartet is available for corporate functions, private parties and engagements. Through their choice of music and attire they can create an elegant quality and can create a unique atmosphere for your individual event.
At your request they provide music that complements the style of your occasion. Their more traditional background music can create an elegant quality and they can also take a more central role of entertainment at your event. They are sure that their vast range of repertoire will accommodate your wishes.
Advice from the Quartet Clients often think that it would be a nice touch to have music at their event but are unsure when and where the musicians should play, and, indeed, what music is suitable for the occasion. Here is some advice directly from the band:
"If, at your event, there are to be reception drinks, this is an ideal opportunity for us to provide some light classical music. As the first guests begin to arrive they will be welcomed by the music instead of an empty room.
"In our experience it is nice to start events with light classical music and then slowly add a few popular and jazzy pieces to our programme. This will follow the natural course of each event with the atmosphere and music staying in tune with one another.
"Music between meals is another opportunity for you to entertain your guests. For small dinners where there might be a more reserved atmosphere we recommend the classics from our repertoire [see below]. Jazz, Pop and Show tunes are suitable for more boisterous dinners.
The Mancini String Quartet can provide you with a few solo items during your event that may have particular significance to you or your proceedings. "
Your Event The Quartet are happy to perform requests for special occasions, for a small arrangement charge. Please ask your agent for more details.

"Unfortunately things were so busy that I was not able to meet them and brief them myself, but my manager was. She was extremely impressed although she apologises that we were not more available to them with all the other arrangements we had before the dinner started.
They were great - really professional, friendly and were able to get on
with it which was fantastic in all the chaos! The music they provided
was perfect for the event and created just the atmosphere we wanted so thank you also for your recommendation!
I hope that they enjoyed it as well.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them again and indeed in hiring them again for a future event!
Kind regards,
Becky"
