"We were so impressed with Alive Network, from the moment we found our ceremony singer Helen and then also the ceilidh band Rabscallion on your website the whole process was so easy.
Both Rebecca and Nick at Alive Network were really approachable even with my million questions they were both so reassuring.
Helen was amazing, just what we wanted. Her style of music was perfect for our wedding and she just blended in perfectly during the ceremony and afterwards. When I asked her to sing our favourite song, it was no trouble for her and it sounded just lovely.
Thank you to you all for helping us have the best day of our lives.

Helen Nugent has been singing professionally since 2006 after graduating from Trinity College of Music London. During her five years of study and subsequently she has been writing recording and performing.
2010 marks an exciting and busy year for Helen as she is writing and recording her album of new material. Alongside that Helen is also recording an album of jazz/Latin music from some of her favorite past and present jazz artists such as Antonio Carlos Jobim Sarah Vaughan Tina May and Bob Dorough.
With her quartet Helen has performed extensively across the UK and Europe and has appeared at festivals such as the Cheltenham Jazz Festival Isle of Wight Jazz Festival Marlborough Jazz Festival and the Riverfront Jazz Festival Greenwich. She has a varied repertoire covering many of her favorite jazz standards. The band cover a variety of different styles from Rat Pack swing to bossa nova, beautiful ballads to up-beat popular tunes.
Helen has a passion for travel. She has drawn inspiration for much of her music from the places that her performance has taken her, in particular, the "Jazz Under the Stars" festival in Sweden, performances in Santa Maria, Italy and shows in the south of France in Marseille and Nice.
At home in London, Helen has performed at venues such as Ronnie Scott's, The 606 Jazz Club, Pizza on the Park, Blackheath Concert Halls and the Vortex to name but a few. A highlight of her career has been singing with the Bobby Lamb Big Band, an exciting experience that has given her a taste for the genre and perhaps something to pursue in the future.
Not only does Helen’s career involve performing live, she is also very comfortable in the recording session environment. Recording from her studio or working in other London studios, she can be heard in a diverse range of genres from pop, dance, funky house and garage to fusion, soul and jazz. She also runs and performs in "Sounds of the City", a show that specializes in private and corporate entertainment.
Helen found an interest in music at the early age of four, playing the guitar. Coming from a musical family, she started singing lessons at the age of 12. She is classically trained and went on to participate in numerous choirs and chamber choirs including singing with the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. Helen’s first professional gigs were singing original dance tracks in the late 90’s, where she had her first opportunity to play at venues and clubs across the country. Between 2002 and 2006, Helen was involved in performing with the Trinity Jazz Choir, from which she became a member of a five-piece close harmony group who performed around London.
Helen has studied with some of the most respected teachers and musicians including Victoria Newton, Norma Winston, Dr Linda Hirst, Anton Brown, Trudy Kerr, Anita Wardell and Tina May. "She brings style and panache to her delivery, singing with emotion and putting her own unique stamp on every performance".
