The quartet arrived in plenty of time, set up quickly and were all smartly dressed and professional. They played beautifully whilst our wedding guests were arriving - really enhanced the atmosphere exactly as we had hoped!
My husband and I had spoken at length with Jenny prior to the wedding to discuss what we would like them to play etc; it was a real help, having Jenny to answer all our questions. She was very kind and supportive, especially when considering how late we booked!
The performance of the quartet was superb, both during our ceremony and afterwards at our drinks reception. The pieces they chose to play worked brilliantly and all our guests were thoroughly impressed. Their beautiful live music was the perfect finishing touch to our ceremony and reception - thoroughly enjoyable."
Classic Strings is a professional string quartet based in the North-West of England. They are available for hire for a wide variety of occasions from wedding and private function to corporate product launches and parties.
The quartet is made up of experienced professional players and was formed in 1997. Since then they have performed at numerous private weddings, christenings, funerals and many corporate functions. The quartet have a client list as diverse as Sir Alfred Alpine, Brooklands, Audi Mersey, Ferries and Manchester City Council.

Meet The Quartet: Lindsay studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and has since freelanced with many orchestras including the BBC Philharmonic and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and has toured with many opera and ballet companies including the Welsh National Opera and the English National Ballet. She has also taken part in live radio broadcasts with The Goldberg Ensemble.
Judith was a member of the Halle.
Jean gained a scholarship to study at the Northern School of Music and from there went on to become a member of the Halle. Since leaving to freelance she has played with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra The BBC Philharmonic Manchester Camerata Northern Ballet, Opera North, and the Welsh Chamber Orchestra. Jean has also played in many theatre productions including Evita, Oklahoma, My Fair Lady, South Pacific and Show Boat and has toured with Shirley Basset, Johnny Mathais, Englebert Humperdink, and Neil Sedaka, and has performed extensively on T.V. and radio.
Cathie studied the cello at the Royal College of Music. From there she joined the Ulster Orchestra and then the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. After leaving the orchestra to follow a freelance career, she has payed with many orchestras including the BBC Philharmonic, Manchester Concert Orchestra and the Northern Chamber Orchestra and has played for T.V. shows such as "Stars in Their Eyes", and ballet companies such as "Saddlers' Wells."
