"I booked Charisma Sound for a joint 60th birthday party with the pre-requisit for Motown and Soul music. I was not dissapointed.
The guys put on a great show with a dynamic light show. It took me and my guests back to the 80s which we wanted.
I will certainly book them again if another celebration party requires music. The venue also are keen to re-book them for future social events."

Charisma Sound and Light Show is run by John Mitchelson. He has toured as a DJ for many years, working with many top acts, including Stars in Their Eyes winners, and named artists such as The Detroit Emeralds and Spinners, Edwin Starr, Jimmy James and the Vagabonds, Katrina and the Waves, Sweet, Mud, The Searchers, The Drifers, Sweet Sensation, Billy Ocean, Sam Fox, Black Lace & Paper Lace.
John is most happy playing 70s, 80s plus Soul and Motown and specialises in 70s disco, making him more suitable for adults’ discos and any disco with a nostalgic theme. However his music library is bang up to date and he can play anything from his 6000 song catalogue. The disco can be compered, with other acts introduced if required.
Professional to the end, Charisma dress to suit the occasion, with a suit being the norm – unless you require something else.
Your Event If you have a special tune that you would like played, John will endeavour to source it, or else you can bring the song on disc to be played. Please inform your agent with at least 4 weeks' notice.
Charisma Sound and Light Show's Set List / Repertoire
There are 6000 Songs on the Charisma Computer, from 40s to present. Also available: 2000 songs on minidisc and can use CDs if required.
John's setlist is extensive and he specialises in 70s disco; 80s, plus soul and motown.
