Meet the band
Hannah - Lead vocals
"I can't believe such a big voice came out of such a tiny person!" ... is one of Hannah's frequently heard comments!
A versatile accomplished and charismatic singer Hannah is highly trained in many vocal styles whilst performing on stage with rock bands and in Musical theatre for the last decade. Gigs are always well remembered and enjoyed through the high-energy performance she brings to every show.
As an actress she has worked with David Jason Ian Jury Stephan Dennis and played Josie Duggan in EastEnders. Recently Hannah has been on Sky & ITV2 in a '888.com' advert.
She delights in her job with CandyStripes as lead singer and fronting the band. Hannah also enjoys dancing songwriting and teaches Pilates.

Al - Lead Guitar / vocals
Al is a creative and dynamic guitarist originally trained in Classical & Jazz – alongside this his true roots belong to rock! Being a devoted player for 20 years he has played over 1000 gigs in various originals and covers bands in the UK also playing bass for one of these.
Currently Al is writing and composing his own songs in his studio to build up a catalogue of work… Most recently working on instrumentals in the jazz vibe. “I’m trying out different styles sounds & production… when I do the rock stuff I really get into vocal harmonies which is something CandyStripes are really good at!”  Al provides excellent backing and various lead vocals in the band.  When Al is not gigging with CandyStripes he teaches lead guitar and is a member of The Registry of Guitar Tutors.

Rob - Bass / vocals
Rob is the bass player in CandyStripes. He provides excellent vocals for the band with his husky Gallagher-esque voice singing various lead vocals and backing harmonies therefore giving the band a full and pleasing sound.
He has played in several originals bands in the top live music venues in London and is a prolific and talented songwriter having written several hunderd songs and recorded 5 albums of his own.

Gareth - Drums
Gareth is an exceptional and passionate drummer who is able to play for any occasion. His experience as a drummer spans over 20 years and has been with CandyStripes since the beginning. He has also enjoyed drumming for originals bands including recording songs and videos.
In addition to the band he is a Drum teacher living and working in Northamptonshire.
CandyStripes have performed at high profile venues ranging from many Stately Homes to the Marquee Club the Guildhall in Southampton the London Astoria 2 The Roadhouse and the Mean Fiddler.
In addition they have played the most prestigious live music venues in and around London.

The band's equipment
CandyStripes use a 2600 watt full range PA system to cater for audiences of up to 800 people, which provides you with a full and balanced sound.  This equipment is suitable for ALL audience sizes, from under 100 guests up to a large venue with 800. The band also provide a complete professional lighting display consisting of 8 x LED Par 64 cans, 3 x Prolight LED Colour Burst Up Lighters & 1 x LED flower to light the band and dance floor.

CandyStripes will dress in smart casual for most occasions, always well presented and stylish at the same time! For corporate and black tie events they will dress more formally.

The band's music
Our show consists of 2 x 1 hour (or 3 x 40 minute) sets from a wide range of popular rock, indie & pop music - from 1950s rock 'n' roll to 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s & 2000s inlcuding artists such as Beatles, Kings of Leon, Lady GaGa, Beyonce, Elbow, The Killers, Rolling Stones, Michael Jackson, Snow Patrol, Rihanna and many more! Please see our complete song list below.

Your event
The band can provide music between and after their live sets on MP3 player/ipod and CD for no extra charge - If the band's final set finishes before 12 midnight (E.G. 11-11.30pm), up to half an hour's music can be provided, saving you the hassle of booking a DJ!  While this is not a 'manned' service with requests etc., you are welcome to bring your CDs and MP3 players with you.

Candystripes can also provide an acoustic set playing 2 x 30 minutes of acoustic tracks. This booking option is ideal for afternoon drinks receptions or over dinner entertainment. Please see booking options for more details.

They are also happy to learn a special first dance for no extra charge, providing they have at least 4 weeks' notice.
