Andy Cherry is a talented acoustic guitarist performing instrumental popular jazz, soul and rock classics, in a subtle, unobtrusive classical guitar style ideal for adding ambience to receptions, dinners and corporate events. Offering highly polished, professional and flexible service, Andy boasts a wide repertoire of well-known material ranging from 1960’s right through to recent chart hits - therefore offering something a little different to most other classical guitarists.
Andy’s pedigree is reflected in an impressive CV of live performances across the UK, mainland Europe and the Middle-East, including the 2009 Grand Prix, Grand Racing Weekend and Ritz-Carlton Hotel in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Using a loop/sampler pedal, Andy is able to seamlessly layer multiple guitar parts and demonstrate his impressive live improvisation skills – whilst remaining faithful to the melodies of original compositions and sensitive to your occasion. All equipment, including a small amp, can operate entirely by battery power giving Andy total flexibility in terms of performance location, tonality and volume.
Based in UK South-East area, Andy is able to travel UK wide and internationally as required, with travel/PLI insurance and fully PAT tested equipment.
Equipment - Classical Acoustic Guitar + Boss RC-20 Loopstation pedal - Roland AC33 amp (portable, battery powered) - A suitable PA system can be provided for larger events on request

The above selection is based on the most obvious, popular choices across pop, jazz and rock - I can play lots more by artists such as Rolling Stones, Nirvana, Flight of the Conchords, Oasis, Radiohead and even Rage Against the Machine if you fancy something a bit different! I can also play some film themes such as Indiana Jones, Rocky, Top Gun, Godfather, Star Wars which always go down well.

Andy contacted me in advance. I explained the event and audience and left everything to him and it all worked. On the night he was excellent. There was a great choice of music that fitted the event/audience mood well. It made the night, thank you."

"Booking for the first through Alive Network and then choosing an unknown artist was very disconcerting, but I had need not worried.
Both Alive Network and Andy Cherry were very proffessional, informative and helpful during the booking process, confirmations, and clarifications on timing, music, etc.
The music played by Andy Cherry was soothing, relaxing and pitched just perfectly for our gathering of friends and relations.
We would have no reservations in using either Alive Network or Andy Cherry in the future.
My only regret is that I should have had Andy Cherry at the function earlier than intended and for longer than intended but I will get that right next time.

"We were so so happy with Andy Cherry. He was presentable, professional, and very accommodating to my song request.
On the wedding day, we had SO many of our friends and family commenting on how fantastic he was. He even had a few people dancing and singing to the songs since they recognised them.
As mentioned before, we have a couple of friends getting married next year, who have already been in touch with me asking for his details so they can potentially book him too.
Even after the wedding, Andy is a key factor of the wedding that people have complimented to us. So we are extremely happy that he was part of our big day!

We booked Andy Cherry through alive-network for our wedding this September. He played a two hour set during our wedding breakfast, and we must say he was absolutely fantastic. He really is extremely talented and I lost count of how many of our guests said how much they had enjoyed listening to him, my only regret is that we didnt book him for longer!! And he's a lovely guy to go with it. It was the exact sort of performance i had hoped it would be and we can't recommend him highly enough, we will definitely be booking him again some day in the future. The whole service from Graham at alive-network has been brilliant and worry free too, from start to finish, which is exactly what we needed leading up to our wedding day.

"We were really happy with Andy Cherry's service! Andy arrived early and quickly set up. He was polite, discreet and plays beautifully. He also helped guide us through which songs he thought would be appropriate for our wedding. He's also charming and goes down well with the ladies :-)
We used Alive Network to hire two seperate musicians for both the day and night time. Both acts were amazing and it's a credit to the Alive Network service. Thanks guys!

"I booked Andy Cherry for my husbands 60th birthday celebration, held in a nice venue on a Sunday afternoon. Andy was playing as the guests arrived and it was lovely to hear the positive comments on how good he was and what a wonderful atmosphere it created.
Clare was very helpful and professional in regards to the booking and Andy was everything we hoped for and more... wonderful music, friendly and accommodating. He contacted me beforehand to see if he could add anything special to the playlist.
The weather was terrible that day but that is not what people are mentioning- it was a great celebration and certainly was enhanced by Andy!"
