"I spoke to 3 Mile Smile a few days before the party and found Sean very approachable and knowledgable about the music I enjoyed and wanted the band to play.
The band arrived with plenty of time to set up, organise themselves and chat to me and my guests about the music we would enjoy, they were not phased by a few late requests and included them in their set with ease.
Once their first set began all the guest were asking where had I found such a fantastic band. They made the evening very special and everyones legs were aching from the dancing they had done.
They were professional, friendly, amusing, great artists and I would not hesitate to book them again or recommend them!"

What Have They Done Before? Since forming in 2005, 3 Mile Smile have performed across the UK at every type of event imaginable including holiday camps, biker rallies, super posh corporate dinners, high school balls and hundreds of weddings.
Sean (lead vocals, guitar, piano) played his first gig aged 11 in a high school covers band and 20 years later he as-of-yet can’t afford to retire!
Jason (drums, vocals, acoustic guitar) has performed everywhere from living rooms to stadiums and is the rock n roll powerhouse that drives the bands show like a funky steam train.
Sarah (bass guitar, synths, vocals) is the final piece to this classic power trio line up and has played bass for an undisclosed amount of time (apparently it’s her prerogative not to go into more detail!) She has bridesmaids up and down the country wanting to take up bass guitar!
What Sort Of Music Do They Play? This is where 3 Mile Smile really shine. With a huge repertoire the band pride themselves on being able to customise their live sets to reflect your tastes. Whether you want rock n roll from Bill Haley (who invented Rock n Roll!) , The Beatles, Stones, The Killers and Muse, 80’s classics from Buggles, Erasure, Bowie and The Cure, or a variety from the 50’s to the 00’s, 3 Mile Smile can cater to your needs.
3 Mile Smile are always happy to receive requests. Should you wish to have a particular song played, provided they have adequate notice (a month or so), they will do their utmost to perform it for you live on the night and they are more than happy for the person who made the request to join them on stage to sing/play it...or maybe you could 'volunteer' the groom!
In fact, a lot of their repertoire has come from previous client requests!
What Do The Band Sound Like? Being a three piece, 3 Mile Smile often get mistaken for a small format band with a limited sound. This couldn’t be further from the truth as 3 Mile Smile have a huge full band sound due to the use of click tracks (a technique also used by Muse, The Killers, U2, Stereophonics and many other touring bands). Hearing is believing!
What Do The Band Look Like? 3 Mile Smile will dress according to your needs. They are usually suited and booted, or appropriately dressed for your occasion, but they can also rock things up a bit if you prefer!
Your Event When booking 3 Mile Smile you are guaranteed a highly professional performance both on and off the stage.
3 Mile Smile will be punctual, organised and totally flexible on the day, with helpful and friendly correspondence in the lead up to your event always doing their utmost to make it a night to remember.
Their live show can be formatted in several ways:
You can choose from a 90 minute non-stop show, 2 x 60 minute sets, 2 x 45 minute sets or 3 x 40 minute sets.
3 Mile Smile are happy to be flexible with all aspects, all you need to do is ask.
They can accommodate any size venue, from huge outdoor events to the corner of a room, and will always adjust their volume to suit the event and the room size. Just specify to your agent what your requirements are when booking the band.

"3 Mile Smile are an excellent band, they were all really friendly and played brilliant music. Everything was exactly as we wanted. We couldn't have asked for more. They even let our young guests have a go on the instruments which they loved and we got some cracking photos. All our guests commented on how much they loved them, I would definitely recommend them! "

"After being disapointed by our original band cancelling on us (we were told that it may happen when we booked them at the time) we chose 3 mile smile to play at our wedding instead. All I can say now is how pleased our original band cancelled on us as 3 mile smile were fantastic. Everyone had a fantastic time all night and the band are real crowd pleasers and Sean interacts to everyone between songs he sings.
Alive network were fantastic, very helpful when I asked questions and they made everything about choosing an evening band easy."

"Alive Network are brilliant. They are really helpful and made sure everything was perfect.
3 Mile Smile were amazing. The sets they played for us were perfect as they called before the event to find out our music tastes so they could play songs they thought we would love. They also played requests people had and everyone had such a great time.
Would highly recommend them for any event. Will definitely book them again if I have any other big events."

"3 Mile Smile were amazing, we can't recommend them highly enough. I think it would be fair to say that they made our evening celebration a complete success; everybody loved them! They were polite, friendly and professional, but arguably more importantly - they sounded amazing!
Thanks to 3 Mile Smile and Alive Network for adding the perfect final piece to our wedding day jigsaw, you all added so much to a day neither of us will ever forget.

"Just wanted to say thanks for recommending 3 Mile Smile for the event on Saturday. They were brilliant, full of fun and energy. Sean, Sarah and Jason are such nice people and worked hard to achieve the excellent night it was right from the start. Everyone was up dancing and singing in the marquee.
We also had a young local band supporting and 3 Mile Smile were lovely to them even inviting them to join them on the stage for 2 songs!
We have had so much positive feedback and people who came to the event have already said they would like to see them return in the future.
All in all an excellent event and the icing on the cake was definately 3 Mile Smile!"

"3 Mile Smile made our evening!
I needn't have worried about having enough guests for a good evening atmosphere or about everyone having a good time. Admitedly we were first drawn to the band by the name (we are both dentists) and very comprehensive set list but the band are very skilled at adapting the play list to fill the floor and keep all ages happy whilst retaining a cool edge and fitting in our requests.
The mix of true to original covers and querkier arrangements (the ABBA/Metallica mash-up being extremely popular) went down a storm.
Great vocals and a high quality sound that is hard to believe comes from just three band members.

"3 Mile Smile's performance was AMAZING.
We were expecting massive things from them but they still managed to exceed all of our expectations.
Leading up to the event, we had great confidence in the band as they were in regular contact with us and kept us informed about how our song requests were progressing. They tailored their set lists (and outfits) to deal with our requests and preferences, interacted with our guests brilliantly and were extremely funny and entertaining throughout.
They have a great chemistry as a band and work really well together. We booked them because we wanted something different - not the traditional all male group - and it certainly added something extra having Sara on bass.
To quote one of our guests "she was fly"!! We will never forget the fact that they learnt our first dance request and performed it exactly how we wanted them to. We had an absolutely amazing wedding day and 3 Mile Smile were the icing on our wedding cake!!
I just wish we could have them round to perform every weekend. Thanks so much Sean, Sara and Jason xx

"3 Mile Smile were awesome. They created a fun, quirky atmosphere that enabled everyone to relax and enjoy the night. They played some great tunes and provided a mish mash of requested songs from me and my wife, backed up with their own selection, which was completely appropriate.
The lighting effects were great and they produced a big sound considering there was only three of them.
Everyone viewed 3 Mile Smile as an instantly likeable friendly band that is a definite must for a good night. We would both like to personally thank them for making our day so special and I do not have any hesitation in recommending them!!!!"
