"The 21st Century Swing were smart, very slick, professional and judged the mood of the evening perfectly."
"We couldn't have wished for a better band, absolutely fabulous in every way!"
The 21st Century Swing reflect all that made The Rat Pack legendary; superb musicianship timeless songs and outstanding vocals delivered with scotch-on-the-rocks cool! They are a team of six highly-skilled musicians from backgrounds as diverse as jazz, funk, indie and rock who share a love of the golden era of swing music. The result is swing show with a real difference.
The show starts with classic Sinatra: Come Fly with Me I Get a Kick Out of You and The Lady is a Tramp all specially-adapted to deliver the exuberance of the original big band arrangements with the tight punch of a 6-piece group. As the floor starts to swing the band play on with the songs made famous by the likes of Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin, as well as contemporary swingers like Michael Buble.
But what makes this band truly unique are their stunning swing versions of modern rock and pop songs: The Rolling Stones' 'Paint it Black' done salsa-style; a blistering swing take on Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' and even Radiohead's 'Creep' made to sound like it was made for a Vegas Casino!
Whether you're planning a wedding, a corporate party, awards ceremony, product launch or Vegas-themed function, you'll find that 21st Century Swing offer floor-filling entertainment that engages every type of audience.
The band is pleased to tailor its performance to match your requirements and the mood of your event.
