Purple Patch is an explosive combination of professional and ex professional players paying homage to some of the greatest rock songs ever written. An exciting dynamic set of classic Deep Purple songs played with just as much enthusiasm and skill as in the original concerts of the time.

Vocals: Paul Wrightson. Paul was the front man for progressive rock band ‘Arena’ and recorded three albums with them before forming his own band ‘Iron heart’ with whom he still appears. Last month Paul joined Arena to perform three nights of reunion concerts in Amsterdam.

Bass Guitar/vocals: Chris Hook. Chris was a founder member of seventies rock band ‘Voyager’ who had a hit single ‘Halfway Hotel’ in 1979 and have recently completed a new album. Chris has performed with various artists since including: Whitesnake’s Bernie Marsden & Micky Moody Kiki Dee and Fairport Convention’s Dave Mattacks.

Drums/vocals: John Marter. The ultimate rock drummer, John filled the role of percussionist for the highly acclaimed SAS Band when Cozy Powell was so tragically killed. Before that John was a member of Voyager with Chris Hook, went on to play with Fish in Marillion, Bernie Mardsden’s Alaska and recently toured with Deep Purple’s current keyboard player Don Airey.

Guitar: Chris Voysey. Chris has performed extensively in working bands both in the UK and in the USA where he lived and toured for many years.

Keyboards: Dick Fancutt. Dick has been recording sessions and playing in a variety of bands in and around the South of England for thirty years. He has made a study of Jon Lord’s sounds and techniques to make the role his own..
