What Do They Do?
Hipster are the ideal choice for any event. They regularly entertain audiences at weddings corporate events and private parties – and now specialise in large corporate awards dinners proving they are just as comfortable performing energetic shows at large scale formal events as they are at bringing the house down at fun-packed parties.

As Alive Network's most popular rock and pop party band the boys work exclusively with the Alive Network team to develop shows and performances tailored precisely to suit your requirements. (Just take a look at their previous clients' references below for all the assurance you need!)

What Have They Done Before?
Hipster are young but by no means inexperienced in their field. They have performed at many prestigious venues over the years including: The Dorchester Hotel The Savoy Hotel Gordonstoun School Eltham Palace Kensington Roof Gardens Euro Disney Kew Gardens Bath Assembly Rooms Stationers Hall – London Manchester Art Gallery The Grand Hotel – Brighton plus Awards ceremonies - IVCA HFMA NABS Channel 5 TV Hewlett Packard Total/Elf Zafer Associates Pine Cliffs Resort Portugal Maris Interiors NSPCC (flagship annual ball) Royal Bank of Scotland Barclays and Natwest – to name a few!! Internationally Hipster have performed a 3-week stint in Singapore over New Year’s Eve 2002 at a live music venue called Muddy Murphy's. More recently they played at an awards ceremony in Portugal for Pearson Publishing where they also provided walk-on music for all the presenters and award collections, a first for the band but definitely not the last! Now Pearson Publishing's band of choice, Hipster played at their awards ceremony in Prague in January 2004, at Euro Disney in 2005, and in Seville in January 2006.

What Sort of Music Do They Play?
Their extensive and varied setlist caters for all ages and includes a mixture of 60's, 70's, indie or modern songs by The Beatles, Robbie Williams, The Commitments, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blur, Stone Roses, Andy Williams, plus many more! You can also choose from a selection of popular first dance songs and be absolutely sure that guests of all ages – from grunge kids to granny – will be up dancing and singing all night!

Please Note: Due to their popularity, Hipster are busy throughout the year and therefore cannot fulfill requests for learning specific songs. Please refer to their extensive setlist.

What will the band look like?
The band can tailor their look to suit your needs on the night. For awards ceremonies, they can dress formally in black clothes, and for private parties and less formal events they can dress more casually if you prefer. Essentially the keyword here is 'flexibility'! Just specify to your agent what your requirements are and Hipster will have a rummage in their wardrobe…

The band has a four-piece line up, and need only a stage space of 5 x 4 metres.

Your Event
Featuring musicians of the highest standard, all with several years' notable previous experience within other bands and within the music industry, Hipster are a party band like no other. Each member is extremely gifted in his own right, and the band has invested heavily in the highest quality instruments and sound equipment. Having Hipster at your event is the closest thing you'll get to having any classic band such as The Beatles or Stone Roses play a personal live performance just for you.

Their show can be formatted in several ways:
You can choose from 2 x 45 minute sets, 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 40 minute sets.

In addition, the band can play acoustically for pre-dinner drinks or cocktail receptions. They can also now perform 30-second clips or sound bites to use as walk-up music for corporate awards ceremonies. Hipster are the only band you need for an all-day event from chatting at drinks receptionstopulling shapes until the small hours...

Hipster are incredibly flexible with all aspects of their show. No gig is too big or too far away. They are very adaptable to a range of room types and always adjust volume levels to suit your requirements.

Hipster's set is lively, exciting, dynamic and full of enthusiasm, and is regularly updated to include current songs. In particular, the band have spent a great deal of time and effort tailoring shows to suit weddings, of which they play at least 100 per year, as well as corporate and media awards ceremonies.

And for when the band are not playing...
There is the option of music between sets, or a DJ package. Like many modern DJs, Hipster use a laptop computer containing a huge amount of popular songs. These songs are mixed as they would be using CD decks, and a band member will control the laptop in between live performances, make basic announcements, and take requests from guests. The band’s lights and PA system double-up for use during DJ sets. If you have any specific requests for music that you would like the DJ to include, please forward any lists to me well in advance, so the band can obtain as many of your preferred tracks as possible, should any be missing from their collection. As we are sure you can appreciate, the service offered ‘in house’ by the band is significantly less than the cost of a normal DJ, so we cannot guarantee every possible request can be met.

Superior equipment
The band's show uses a 3000 watt full range KV2 Audio PA system at all performances, plus a complete lighting show including 8 x par 56 LED cans with built-in sound-to-light controllers, 4 x multi-coloured moving heads with a 360 degree rotation so you have full stage lighting as well as disco lighting for your dance floor.

Other equipment is all professional quality including Marshall and Fender amps, Fender and Tobias guitars, TC Electronics, and Roland and Lexicon rack gear.

They also have a recently-purchased brand new Iveco van for transporting all their equipment for reliability and a truly professional appearance.
